Why is safeguarding so important at Ascend Taekwondo?

Safe guarding is key to everyone at Ascend Taekwondo. We believe that a safe and supportive environment is crucial for effective learning and personal growth in martial arts. It allows our students to train with confidence and focus.

What should I do if I have a safeguarding concern?

If you have any safeguarding concerns, please speak directly to one of our coaches or contact us at ascend-taekwondo@gmail.com. We take all concerns seriously and will address them promptly and discreetly

How do you ensure everyone's safety in your care?

We want to keep everyone safe in our care. We have comprehensive safety protocols in place, including qualified instructors, appropriate equipment, and structured lessons designed to minimise risks. Regular safety briefings are also conducted for all participants. We have safe Guarding officers on site and a welfare office who is always available.

How do you reassure parents worried about martial arts safety?

We understand that parents may have concerns. Our coaches are all enhanced DBS checked and first aid trained, providing a secure environment. We also focus on controlled, progressive training that builds skills safely.

Do you have specific safety rules for different age groups?

Yes, our safety rules and training methods are adapted for each age group, from Tigers, Cadets Adults. This ensures that training is appropriate and safe for everyone, regardless of their age or experience level.
