Determination Under Pressure: Congratulations to Our New Black Belts!
The air in the dojang was thick with tension this week as our candidates stepped onto the mat for our latest Black Belt grading. It is one thing to practice your forms and strikes in a regular class, but it is another thing entirely to perform them under the watchful eyes of the grading panel with your next rank on the line.
We want to be honest: every single candidate was nervous. There were shaking hands and quiet moments of doubt before the first "Charyot" (attention) was called. But the true mark of a martial artist isn’t the absence of fear—it’s the ability to put those nerves to the test and push through them.
Each of these students faced their anxiety head-on, channeled that energy into their technique, and walked away with the result they’ve worked years to achieve.

- 3 New 2nd Degree Black Belts: For showing incredible growth and deepening their technical knowledge.
- 1 New 3rd Degree Black Belt: For demonstrating the leadership and perseverance required of a senior rank.
These five individuals set a goal, survived the grueling physical and mental demands of the grading, and came out with exactly what they wanted. They are a testament to the fact that when you refuse to let fear stop you, you Ascend.

Huge News: Edith Joins the Elite GB Taekwondo Squad! 🇬🇧
We are beyond thrilled to announce that Edith has been officially selected for the Elite GB Taekwondo Squad!
This incredible achievement follows her stellar performance at the Interregional Competition, where she dominated the mats and brought home a well-deserved Gold Medal.
While the gold was a testament to her technical skill, it’s Edith’s work ethic and heart that truly set her apart. Being scouted for the national elite level is a huge milestone, and it’s a direct result of the countless hours she has put into her training.
What’s Next?
As part of the GB Squad, Edith will now have access to top-tier national training, helping her sharpen her skills as she represents the very best of our sport on a much larger stage.

What an incredible weekend for the team! We headed to the competition at Whiston one 2 One with four fighters, and we couldn’t be prouder of the results. Every single one of our athletes stepped up, showing exactly what happens when hard work meets heart.

A massive shout-out to the two fighters who made their competitive debut this weekend! Stepping into the ring for the first time is a huge milestone that requires immense bravery. Seeing them handle the pressure with such composure was the highlight of the day.
